MCW | Guatemala Urban Municipal Governance Project

TetraTech ARD and SEGURA have been awarded a task order under the Making Cities Work (MCW) IDIQ.  The Guatemala Urban Municipal Governance Project is a five-year project designed to reduce levels of violence in municipalities most at risk of violent crime through enhanced municipal governance, increased coverage and quality of municipal services, and greater citizen participation and oversight. As a subcontractor to TetraTech, SEGURA provides short-term technical assistance (international and local) to strengthen municipal management of public funds for public service delivery.

SEED (Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development) in Egypt

As part of a consortium led by AECOM, SEGURA is providing technical assistance under the Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) project in Egypt. SEGURA is implementing Component C, focusing on the integration of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into Progressive Value-Chains. SEED is set to continue through 2018.

USAID MCW (formerly HABITAT) IDIQ

SEGURA has been awarded as a prime contractor one of the USAID MCW IDIQ contracts. The purpose of the “Making Cities Work” (MCW) contractual vehicle is to provide access to short- and long-term technical services, training, and capacity-building related to improving urban and local governance in five key functional areas: 

  1. Public service delivery with an emphasis on transportation, water and sanitation;
  2. Autonomy, transparency, responsiveness and accountability of urban and local governments;
  3. Enhanced ability to adapt to climate change and improve environmental management; 
  4. Improved disaster preparedness, response and recovery; and 
  5. Improved urban and local government finance, creditworthiness and borrowing.

MOBIS Contract Awarded

SEGURA has been awarded a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract under the Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) Schedule. New CCEP project activity

SEGURA Consulting, under Component 3 of the USAID Colombia Clean Energy Program (CCEP) has received USAID approval for the creation of a Project Preparation Facility (PPF) for Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) projects.  The PPF will provide firm-level assistance to the renewable energy industry in the formulation of projects and will support the development of financing arrangements through financial closure.

New report: 20 years review of USAID EG assistance in E&E

Under the RCI project implemented by SEGURA, USAID commissioned a report to review the 20 years of Economic Growth Assistance from USAID to the Europe and Eurasia region following the fall of communism. The purpose of the paper was to to document the context in which U.S. assistance was provided, describe programs in six technical areas, summarize lessons learned, and discuss remaining challenges.
