In 2010, SEGURA supported Management Systems International (MSI) in Mali for the USAID- funded Decentralization PGP2 – Support to Local Governance and Decentralization project (Programme de Gouvernance Partagée 2). The goals of the PGP2 project specifically aimed to promote good governance practices, reduce corruption, and engender social cohesion and sustainable development at the communal level.
One of the primary methodologies for achieving these results was by providing training and technical assistance in budgeting and general financial management at the commune level. SEGURA worked on the PGP2 program in order to facilitate the provision of this financial management assistance.
Under this Task Order SEGURA provided short-term technical assistance (STTA) to the project to provide assistance in reviewing the financial management approach and making recommendations; in the development of modules, reference documents, and training materials; and in providing staff training.
This was a task order under the ENGAGE IQC (Encouraging Global Anticorruption and Good Governance Efforts).
