Chief of Party - Power Africa Data and Technology Services

SEGURA Consulting is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for an upcoming project that will support USAID’S Power Africa Coordinator’s Office to advance new generation, transmission, and distribution capacity through transaction support, and to strengthen Power Africa’s partnerships across USG interagency, the private sector and development and donor organizations. The project will based in Washington, D.C. and support additional staff members in South Africa and Cote d’Ivoire.

The COP’s primary responsibilities will include the following: Serving as the main point of contact between USAID and the Contractor; ensuring effective and efficient performance for all aspects of the Task Order, overseeing all quality control and reporting; interacting professionally with senior USAID Mission, Embassy, and government officials, other donors, and regional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Fifteen years of managing USAID energy programs, preferably in a Chief of Party role

  • Ability to lead teams in complex, challenging environments and deliver on a diverse set of objectives drawing on multiple disciplines and skill-sets.

  • Ability to take complex material and analyze, synthesize and report on it in simple, easy-to-understand language and terms suitable to a general audience.

  • History of delivering energy-related technical assistance, including financial interventions and capacity building to a range of public, private and development actors in sub-Saharan Africa.
