SEGURA is part of a consortium led by the United States Energy Association (USEA), implementing the Advancing Modern Power through Utility Partnerships program (AmpUp). This innovative program introduces a performance improvement model that will build peer-to-peer relationships and strong practitioner and stakeholder networks to actualize sustainable impacts and enhance utility self-reliance.

Leveraging the expertise and knowledge of an unparalleled network of utilities and energy sector experts from around the world, AmpUp will engage supported utilities in a continuous process of innovation and adaptation to the rapidly changing energy industry. The AmpUp peer-to-peer partnerships and collaborative practitioner networks will provide a menu of tailored capacity-building and technical assistance activities that uniquely complement other assistance programs and help utilities achieve sustained performance improvement.

As part of AmpUp’s “Core Offerings,” SEGURA will lead and participate in organizational change management activities, which may include Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) development; privatization or concession planning; or the formation of basic business units in the “unbundling” process. As part of AmpUp’s “Supplemental Offerings,” SEGURA will leverage its expertise in Private Sector Engagement (PSE) to identify private sector participation (PSP) and public-private partnership (PPP) opportunities as part of utilities' strategic planning efforts.
